Danish Jersey

​Danish Jersey has a history of more than 100 years of intensive breeding work in Denmark. 

As one of the leading populations of Jerseys worldwide the Danish Jerseys are known for the high productivity and functional type. The small cow with the high production is also known for the high longevity, strong feet and legs, and exelent mammary system. 

Danish Jerseys focus on a high milkcomponents and a high production of protein and fat.

The average liveweigt of cows is 425 kg. The average yield is (January 2007):

6.555 kg milk 5,89 % fat 386 kg fat, 4,06 % protein 266 kg protein, 652 kg fat + protein.
